Why Couples Choose Willow Creek Winery for 2026 Weddings in Cape May

Cape May weddings all seem to come with a view, but ours comes with vines. Willow Creek Winery sits on fifty acres in West Cape May, close enough to the beach and downtown that your guests can enjoy both in one weekend. Whether you’re picturing twenty-five guests under string lights or three hundred fifty celebrating together through dinner and dancing, our team builds each wedding around your guest list, not a template. Here’s what a wedding day at Willow Creek looks like, from vows to last dance.

Willow Creek Winery in West Cape May hosts 2026 weddings for 25 to 350 guests on a 50-acre vineyard estate, with vows on the brick courtyard or Estate Lawn, cocktail hour on the Vineyard Bar Patio, and dinner in a post-and-beam Ballroom with linens, cross-back chairs, and china included. Outside catering is not permitted, weddings carry a minimum wine purchase, beer and liquor can come from designated New Jersey distributors, and eight on-site cottages keep the wedding party close to the vines.

Planning Your 2026 Wedding at Willow Creek Winery

Your wedding experience can be shaped around your celebration size, preferred setting, and event format. From vineyard ceremony spaces to cocktail hour and reception options, our team helps you plan a day that feels natural, welcoming, and suited to your vision. Here is how a day at Willow Creek comes together.

Successful Corporate Event

Choosing Your Ceremony Setting

Most couples exchange vows on the brick courtyard, which sits beside the cocktail hour and reception space. If your guest list runs larger, the Estate Lawn gives you more room to work with. Set at the front of the Estate Mansion, it looks out over the full property, so everyone in the back row still gets the view. Either way, you’re saying your vows outdoors, surrounded by the vineyard.

Cocktail Hour on the Vineyard Bar Patio

Once the ceremony wraps, your guests move to the Vineyard Bar Patio for cocktail hour. It’s built for mingling: open air, easy sightlines back to the vines, and enough room for hors d’oeuvres to circulate without a line forming at every table. This is where optional enhancements, such as a sangria bar or fire pit, can be incorporated into your celebration if they fit your plans. Guests get a breather between vows and dinner, and you get another hour of photos while the light is still good.

Dinner in the Ballroom

Dinner happens in the Ballroom, a post-and-beam space that blends rustic charm with elegance, and can support both relaxed and more formal celebrations. Floor-length ivory damask linens, wooden cross-back chairs, and full china and flatware come standard, so many of the reception essentials are already included, helping simplify your planning. Cake cutting and a coffee and tea station are part of the package too. We have spaces available for an after-party as well. Ask your coordinator what fits your night.

Food, Wine, and What You Can Bring In

Outside catering isn’t permitted, since our own kitchen and wine program are part of what makes a Willow Creek wedding what it is. Weddings carry a minimum wine purchase requirement, generally planned around one case for every forty guests plus a favor bottle for every two guests over twenty-one, so everyone raises a glass of something grown right here. If your crowd wants a full bar, beer and liquor can be brought in from designated New Jersey distributors. Our trained bartenders staff the bar either way, and any outside alcohol is secured after the event for pickup the next day.

From Intimate Gatherings to Grand Celebrations

Full weddings scale from seventy-five guests up to three hundred fifty, with minimums that shift by day of the week: seventy-five midweek, one hundred on Sunday, one hundred twenty-five on Friday, and one hundred fifty on Saturday. Big or small, your coordinator builds the day around your list.

The Rosé Room and Getting Ready Day Of

The Rosé Room is our bridal dressing room, and it’s available from eight in the morning through the start of cocktail hour. It gives you a dedicated space to prepare on the property before your ceremony. Vendor and children’s accommodations can also be arranged through your coordinator.

Staying Close to the Vineyard

Willow Creek has eight rental cottages on site, so out-of-town guests or your wedding party can stay steps from the vines instead of driving in the morning of. If you need more rooms for a larger group, The Southern Mansion, our sister property, sits in the heart of Cape May’s historic district and is an easy option to recommend to family and friends.
