Planning a Fall Vineyard Wedding at Willow Creek Winery in Cape May

October in Cape May has a way of slowing everything down. The light lingers over the vines, casting warm shades of amber and gold, creating a relaxed and quietly romantic atmosphere. If you’re drawn to a wedding that feels grounded, one where you can truly experience the season, consider fall at Willow Creek Winery in West Cape May; it’s something special.

Planning a fall vineyard wedding at Willow Creek Winery means building your day around seasonal views, dedicated ceremony and reception spaces, and a smooth guest flow. Couples can expect vineyard scenery, estate wine service, flexible bar options, on-site coordination, and nearby or on-site lodging that helps turn the wedding into a full weekend experience.

We host weddings here from 25 guests to 350, and the couples who choose autumn tend to say the same thing afterward: the setting carried so much of it. The vines are at their richest, the gardens hold their color, and stepping from an outdoor ceremony into the warmth of the Tasting Room’s stone fireplace feels like exactly the right move when the evening cools.

What a Fall Wedding at Willow Creek Actually Looks Like

Fall here means amber vines, golden hour light across the Estate Lawn, and a stone fireplace waiting when the evening cools. Your ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner each have a dedicated space, so the day moves naturally, and your guests stay present from the first toast to the last dance.

The Flow of Your Day

Your ceremony sets the tone. Couples choose between the Winemaker’s Patio, a brick patio at Winemaker’s Hall, or the Estate Lawn at the front of the 50-acre vineyard. The Estate Lawn creates a genuine sense of arrival, with views across the vines that no backdrop rental can replicate.

fall vineyard wedding

From there, guests move to the Vineyard Patio for cocktail hour, where hors d’oeuvres are passed, and wine is poured. Then the reception space opens for dinner. Its post and beam ceiling makes it feel especially right in autumn. Planning stays manageable because you work with a single main contact through our events department from start to finish.

What’s Included

Every wedding includes a dedicated venue coordinator, floor-length ivory damask linens, wooden cross-back chairs, and a complete place setting of flatware, china, and wine and water glasses. Food service inclusions vary by package and guest count; your coordinator will walk through exactly what’s included for your chosen format, from hors d’oeuvres and salad through to dinner and coffee. On-site parking is included, and the grounds are open for photos throughout.

For fall specifically, a few enhancements are worth considering. The fire pit is a natural fit once the temperature drops after dinner. A sangria bar adds warmth to cocktail hour. A champagne toast setup or table wine service rounds out the evening. Your coordinator can walk through what makes sense for your guest count and format. If you need help sourcing vendors for decor or entertainment, our events team can point you in the right direction.

The Wine and Bar Program

Our bar is built around what we grow and produce on the estate. Wine is served by a trained, private winetender throughout your event. A minimum wine purchase applies to all weddings, structured around one case per every 40 guests and one favor bottle per every two guests age 21 and older.

If your guests prefer beer or liquor, you’re welcome to bring those in from a designated New Jersey distributor. We provide trained bartenders and secure any remaining outside alcohol after the event for next-day pickup.

Getting Ready and Staying Over

The Rosé Room is your bridal dressing suite on the wedding day, available from 8:00 a.m. through to the start of cocktail hour as an add-on. Having that space on site means your morning stays calm and close.

For overnight stays, we have on-site rental cottages on the property. Spaces like the Merlot Cottage, Canal House, and The Stable give your closest family and friends a real home base for the weekend. These cottages are especially popular during the fall harvest season, so asking about availability early is a good idea. For larger groups, The Southern Mansion in Cape May’s historic district is our preferred nearby property, a short trip from beaches, shops, and restaurants.

Conclusion

The vines, the fire pit, the stone fireplace waiting at dinner, fall at Willow Creek Winery has a way of making a wedding feel genuinely of its place and season. Whatever your guest count, the setting and our team are ready to make it yours. If you’re drawn to the harvest season, the best next step is seeing the property in person and talking through your date with our team.

Vineyard Wedding Venue at Cape May NJ

Planning a wedding involves a lot of trust. You’re handing over one of the most significant days of your lives to a place and a team, and you want to know exactly what you’re walking into before you sign anything. If you’ve been looking at vineyard wedding venues near Cape May and Willow Creek Winery keeps coming up, here’s a clear, honest look at what the experience is actually like, from the first tour to the final toast.

Willow Creek Winery offers a flexible Cape May vineyard wedding experience with multiple ceremony sites, a large reception space, in-house catering, estate wine service, bridal suite access, and optional cottages for overnight stays. It works for both intimate and larger weddings while keeping the day organized through included coordination and a setting that blends vineyard views with Cape May convenience.

A Setting That Works for Many Kinds of Weddings

Willow Creek sits on a 50-acre vineyard estate in West Cape May, just minutes from the beach and downtown. That detail matters more than it might seem. Guests staying in town can easily get here, and couples who want that classic Cape May coastal trip can have both the vineyard and the shore in the same weekend.

The estate itself includes several distinct spaces, so the experience shifts depending on your guest count and the style you’re going for.

Where You’ll Say “I Do”

Wedding ceremonies can take place at the Winemaker’s Patio, the Estate Lawn, or in vineyard vista settings across the grounds, depending on your event style and guest count. The Winemaker’s Patio, a brick patio adjacent to Winemaker’s Hall, is contained and intimate. The Estate Lawn, set at the front of the vineyard with sweeping views across the vines, has scale and presence. Each one offers a different feel; your coordinator can help you decide which fits your vision and guest count best.

The ceremony naturally transitions into the cocktail hour on the Vineyard Bar Patio, where hors d’oeuvres and wine service begin as guests settle in and the couple takes a moment to breathe.

Dinner in the Tasting Room

Dinner takes place in the ballroom, a rustic post-and-beam space with seating for up to 350. We have spaces available for an after-party; for more details, talk to our venue coordinators.

Vineyard Wedding Venue at Willow Creek Winery

Full weddings accommodate 75 to 350 guests, with minimums that vary by day of the week. Micro and intimate weddings serve 25 to 75 guests, depending on whether you choose a traditional plated format or a cocktail style reception.

Linen, China, and the Details Already Handled

Every wedding package includes a venue coordinator, floor-length ivory damask linens, wooden cross-back chairs, flatware, china, wine and water glasses, 60″ round reception tables, a coffee and tea station, cake cutting, access to the grounds for photos, and on-site parking. Outside catering is not permitted, but the in-house culinary team handles food service as part of your package.

The bar runs on Willow Creek’s own estate wines. If your guests prefer beer or liquor, you’re welcome to bring those in from any New Jersey distributor. The venue provides trained bartenders, and any outside alcohol is secured after the event for next-day pickup.

The Rosé Room on the Morning of Your Wedding

The Rosé Room rental is available as a bridal dressing suite from 8:00 a.m. to the beginning of cocktail hour on your wedding day, so there’s no rushing the morning. It’s a private, unhurried space for the wedding party to settle in and take their time getting ready.

The Add-Ons Couples Actually Ask About

Several optional additions are available, including a sangria bar, fire pit, champagne toast setup, table wine service, gold Chiavari chair upgrades, extended event time, and additional bartenders and servers. Not every enhancement is included by default. Your events team contact will walk you through what’s possible for your group size and event type.

Golden Hour, the Vines, and a Chessboard

Golden hour at a vineyard is hard to beat, and the grounds here deliver. Vine rows, lush gardens, and the life-sized Alice in Wonderland grass chessboard are all available for photo sessions. These aren’t staged backdrops; they’re the actual estate, and your photographer will have plenty to work with.

Overnight Accommodations

Eight rental cottages are available on the property, including Merlot Cottage, Malvasia Cottage, and Canal House. They’re popular during peak season, so booking early is worth it for the wedding party or out-of-town family who want to stay close. The Southern Mansion, a boutique bed and breakfast in Cape May’s historic district, is also a preferred partner property for larger groups.

Planning Timeline and Booking

To reserve your date, you’ll need a signed contract and an initial deposit. Final headcount and each guest’s meal selection and dietary needs are due 28 days before the event. A minimum wine purchase requirement applies to all weddings, and the events team can give you the specifics based on your guest count.

Conclusion

Willow Creek isn’t one fixed wedding formula. It’s a 50-acre vineyard estate with enough space, flexibility, and a team experienced enough to make a 25-person celebration feel just as considered as a 350-guest affair. The stone fireplace, the vine rows at golden hour, the brick patio where cocktail hour flows naturally into the evening, these are the details couples carry with them long after the day is over. If you’re still weighing your options, the best next step is simply walking the grounds yourself.

Ready to see it in person? The best way to understand whether Willow Creek is the right fit is to walk the spaces yourself. Reach out to the events team at our Email or call (609) 770-8782 to schedule a personalized tour and consultation.

How to Plan a Corporate Meeting at Willow Creek Winery in Cape May, NJ

Bachelorette Party Ideas

Corporate meetings require more than conference room walls and coffee refills. You need flexible spaces that accommodate different group sizes, smooth service that supports your agenda, and an inspiring setting that keeps your team engaged without the feel of a traditional corporate environment.

At Willow Creek Winery in Cape May, we’ve executed corporate retreats, team-building sessions, and executive meetings. We understand what makes vineyard venues both beautiful and functional for business events.

What Makes a Vineyard Work for Corporate Meetings

Too often, corporate meetings fall short because the venue works against your agenda rather than supporting it. You need adaptable spaces that effortlessly accommodate presentations, breakout sessions, and networking without confining your team to ballroom layouts.

Micro Wedding & Host a Milestone Party in Cape May

A vineyard offers natural separation between work sessions and casual conversation while keeping your team engaged. Our event spaces accommodate groups from 25 to 150 guests with flexible 3-hour blocks, allowing you to choose a space that truly fits your meeting.

The Spaces and How Your Team Moves Through Them

Willow Creek Winery offers three main event spaces, and each one fits a different meeting style. The Tasting Room holds 25 to 150 people, featuring a stunning beam ceiling and a grand stone fireplace. This semi-private space feels more like a European lodge than a traditional corporate venue. It’s well-suited for presentations, seated discussions, or group dining where clear visuals are essential.

The Covered Porch comfortably seats 25 to 30 guests, offering an ideal setting for breakout sessions or smaller meetings. With this space, you can enjoy the beauty of the vines and gardens while staying fully protected from the elements, so your agenda stays on track.

The Vineyard Bar and Courtyard accommodates 25 to 100 guests and offers flexibility. You can use it for a reception-style arrival, a casual lunch, or a networking hour before moving into the Tasting Room for more formal programming. Each space is available in 3-hour blocks with multiple start times throughout the day, from late morning through early evening. You pick the window that fits your schedule.

Service and What That Means During Your Event

We make planning effortless with a single point of contact from our events team, so you don’t have the hassle of coordinating with multiple vendors or schedules. From selecting the right space, picking food and beverage, to finalizing your timeline, we help with every step of the way. On the day of your event, our team manages setup, service, and breakdown, allowing you to stay fully focused on your meeting objectives.

A beverage package is required for all events. Our wines are crafted on-site and may be enjoyed alongside fountain sodas. We provide private wine tenders for your event, and if you’d like to extend beyond the standard three-hour timeframe, additional time can be arranged.

If wine tasting is part of your plan, we offer a 45-minute private educational group wine tasting led by a trained Wine Educator. It’s offered table-side or couch-side, and it can work as a standalone activity or as a great start to a meal. Some groups use it as an icebreaker, others as a reward at the end of a productive day.

Food and Beverage Approach

All food is made in-house, and we do not allow outside catering. Your beverage package includes our estate-grown wines and fountain sodas for the full duration of your event, while meals are tailored to your booking based on your group size and time of day.

If your meeting runs longer than 90 minutes but shorter than 3 hours, you can book a 2-hour reservation to give your team extra time without feeling rushed.

What’s Included and What to Plan Separately

Your event space includes the room, tables, seating, and our event team coordinators. Beverage packages and meals are quoted separately based on your selections. All offerings are subject to applicable service fees and NJ sales tax.

We provide basic table setups. If you need specific AV equipment, presentation materials, or branded decor, you’ll arrange that on your own or work with an outside vendor. If you need AV equipment, our team can recommend trusted providers, or you can arrange it through an outside vendor.

There is plenty of parking on-site, so your attendees won’t circle looking for a spot. The Cape May Setting and What It Adds

Our 50-acre vineyard sits in West Cape May, minutes from downtown and the beaches. The grounds are available for photos if your group wants to capture the day or if individuals want to take a walk between sessions. The landscaped gardens and vineyard scenery give people a reason to step outside and reset, which can be useful during longer meetings or retreats.

Conclusion

Corporate meetings don’t have to feel predictable. A vineyard setting naturally keeps your team engaged, while the logistics still run seamlessly and on schedule.

If you’re ready to plan a meeting your team will enjoy and remember, let’s connect and talk through your goals and vision.

Ready to explore the spaces? Submit a private event inquiry or call us at 609.770.8782 to discuss your corporate meeting in Cape May.

FAQs

Can we bring our own AV equipment for presentations?

Yes. We don’t provide technical equipment in-house, so you’ll need to bring your own projector, screen, microphones, or laptops. Our event team can help coordinate setup timing if you need access to the space before your official start time.

What if we need the space for longer than 3 hours?

Extended time is available. Let your event contact know your full schedule during planning, and we’ll work out pricing and availability. Some corporate groups book back-to-back blocks or add a wine tasting after their main program to secure additional time.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions for corporate meals?

We customize meals based on your group’s needs. Share any dietary restrictions or allergies with your event contact, and our kitchen will adjust the menu. We ask for final details at least 2 weeks before your event to ensure proper preparation.

Is parking included, and how many spaces are available?

Yes, on-site parking is included and ample. We have space for standard vehicles, and your team won’t need to worry about off-site lots or shuttle services. If you’re bringing a large group and have specific parking needs, mention it during planning.

We keep planning simple with a single main contact through our events department. Once you confirm your headcount 2 weeks before the reunion, we finalize meal selections and handle any food allergy notes.

Food and Beverage Approach

A beverage package is required for all events, and we serve our estate wines alongside fountain sodas. Since we’re a working winery, the experience centers on what we grow and produce here. If you book the Vineyard Bar you’re welcome to bring in beer or liquor from any New Jersey distributor if your group prefers a full bar. We provide the bartenders and secure any additional outside alcohol after the event for next-day pickup.

We offer a wide variety of catering options, from plated meals to butlered hors d’oeuvres and buffet-style spreads. For a special touch, we can arrange charcuterie boards featuring imported meats and cheeses, grapes, dried figs, olives, walnuts, olive oil, and a fresh baguette. You’re welcome to bring a cake as long as it comes from a licensed baker. Cake cutting is included as part of your package.

What’s Included with Your Booking

Every event at Willow Creek Winery includes floor-length ivory damask linens, 60-inch round tables that seat up to 10, and wooden cross-back chairs. All the essentials are included from flatware to china, wine glasses, and water glasses so you won’t need to worry about rentals.

You and your guests can also enjoy our vineyard grounds for photos before or after your event, with plenty of on-site parking.

To take your event to the next level, we offer upgrades such as gold Chiavari chairs, cozy fire pits for cooler evenings, and a sangria bar to give your guests an even wider selection of wines.

Planning Flow: Welcome to Meal to Farewell

Most reunions follow a natural rhythm. Guests arrive, mingle over drinks, enjoy a meal, and then catch up with one another. All of our spaces are designed to accommodate your vision. After the meal, guests can relax outdoors in Adirondack chairs or gather around a fire pit.

We recommend reserving early if you’re planning during our busy season, May through October. Weekends fill up quickly, and booking in advance ensures you secure your preferred date and space.

Neighborhood and Photo Opportunities

Cape May sits minutes from the beach and downtown, so out-of-town family members have plenty to do before or after the reunion. The historic district, with its Victorian architecture and walkable streets, is five minutes from our sister property, The Southern Mansion. If guests want

to extend their stay, we have eight on-site rental cottages, and The Southern Mansion offers boutique-style hotel rooms with beautiful landscaped gardens.

The vineyard itself is the star when it comes to photos. The rows of vines glow beautifully in the late afternoon light, while the gardens provide quieter, more intimate settings. The Estate Lawn offers sweeping views, and the Alice in Wonderland garden features a charming grass chessboard – a whimsical backdrop perfect for group photos with children.

Beyond Reunions: Event Types We Support

We host a wide variety of events, from intimate weddings for 25 to larger celebrations for 300. We also welcome corporate retreats, birthday parties, anniversary gatherings, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, bachelorette parties, and elopements. If you’re planning a different type of celebration, our events team is happy to discuss and help plan the next steps.

Conclusion

Reunions are at their best when the setting feels intentional yet relaxed. You want a place that makes an impression, where relatives can simply settle in and enjoy one another’s company. That’s exactly what we strive to create here. The vines, the open spaces, and the wines we pour come together to offer an experience that feels special without being overly formal.

Steps to Plan a Business Meeting in Cape May at Willow Creek Winery

Business meetings outside the office can either sharpen your team’s focus or quickly lose momentum; the difference comes down to having a clear plan in place.

At Willow Creek Winery, we’ve guided dozens of corporate teams through everything from quick leadership check-ins to full-day strategic planning sessions. The key is following a thoughtful, practical sequence that keeps your meeting structured, productive, and on track from start to finish.

Planning a Business Meeting That Delivers Results

Most business meetings fall flat because the foundational steps get overlooked, or there’s an assumption that the venue will handle every detail automatically. A successful meeting starts with a clear plan. Confirming your guest count and selecting the right space, coordinating meals thoughtfully, and clearly communicating logistics to your team ahead of time. At Willow Creek Winery, we’ve seen firsthand what separates a productive, high-impact meeting from one that simply fills time, and it always comes down to preparation and flow.

Successful Corporate Event

What truly makes the difference is planning accordingly for every stage. Our 50-acre vineyard in Cape May features three event spaces, each suited for different meeting formats. Aligning your agenda to the right space is the first step and most important. From there, the rest of the planning process falls into place naturally.

Step 1: Decide Your Group Size and Meeting Format

The first step is to determine how many people are attending. Our Tasting Room comfortably accommodates 25 to 150 guests and is ideal for presentations, collaborative discussions, or seated meals where clear sightlines and visuals are essential.

For smaller meetings or breakout sessions of 25 to 30 guests, the Covered Porch that overlooks the gardens and vines, offers a semi-private setting with an open-air feel while still providing overhead coverage.

Micro Wedding & Host a Milestone Party in Cape May

The Vineyard Bar and Courtyard accommodates 25 to 100 guests and fits a more casual format. Use it for networking over wine, a working lunch, or an arrival space before moving into the next part of your programming. Each space is available in 3-hour blocks with start times from late morning through early evening.

Step 2: Check Availability and Reserve Early

To secure your preferred date and time, we recommend reviewing availability early in your planning process. This gives you the best selection of dates and ensures your meeting aligns seamlessly with your team’s schedule.

If your group size exceeds what’s available to book online, please email

events@willowcreekwinerycapemay.com, and we’ll be happy to review availability and explore options that best accommodate your needs.

Step 3: Plan Your Food and Beverage Approach

All food is made in-house and we do not allow outside catering. A beverage package is required for all events. The beverage packages include our estate-grown wines and fountain sodas for the full duration of your event, while meals are tailored to your booking based on your group size and time of day.

Our wines are crafted on-site and we provide private wine tenders for your event. If you’d like to extend beyond the standard three-hour timeframe, additional time can be arranged.

Steps to Plan a Business Meeting in Cape May at Willow Creek Winery

If wine tasting is part of your plan, we offer a 45-minute private educational group wine tasting led by a trained Wine Educator. It’s offered table-side or couch-side, and it can work as a standalone activity or as a great start to a meal. Some groups use it as an icebreaker, others as a reward at the end of a productive day.

For groups of 6 or more, you can add a charcuterie and sparkling combo with a sparkling-wine toast on arrival and boards featuring imported meats, cheeses, grapes, dried figs, olives, walnuts, olive oil, and a baguette. It’s an ideal setting for a productive working lunch or a refreshing mid-afternoon break.

Step 4: Coordinate Technical Needs and Setup

Please note that we do not provide in-house AV equipment. If you require a projector, screen, microphones, or other specific technology, you’re welcome to bring your own equipment, or our team can recommend trusted local vendors. Be sure to let your event coordinator know during the planning process if you’ll need early access to the space for setup so we can accommodate accordingly.

Tables and seating are included with your space rental. If you have a specific layout in mind, we recommend discussing it with your event coordinator in advance so we can ensure the room is set exactly as you envision.

Step 5: Use the Setting to Your Advantage

Our 50-acre vineyard offers a unique advantage that most conference venues don’t: plenty of space to step outside and recharge. Guests can stroll the grounds between sessions, enjoying the landscaped gardens and rows of vines for a refreshing mental break without ever leaving

the property. If your meeting includes photo opportunities or team-building activities, the vineyard and outdoor areas near the firepit are perfect settings, especially in the spring and fall.

Conclusion

Business meetings don’t require stuffy conference rooms. A vineyard setting keeps your team engaged while the logistics run smoothly. If you’re ready to plan a business meeting that accomplishes your goals, let’s walk through your specific needs.

Ready to book your business meeting? Submit a private event inquiry or call us at 609.770.8782 to discuss your Cape May business meeting.

FAQs

Can we arrive early to set up AV equipment or materials?

Yes, in most cases we can accommodate flexible setup times. Let the event coordinators know during planning if you need early access to the space. We’ll coordinate timing so your team can set up projectors, screens, or presentation materials before your official start time without disrupting other guests.

What if our meeting runs longer than the scheduled 3 hours?

Extended time is available. Mention your full agenda during planning, and we’ll work out availability and pricing. Some groups book a wine tasting after their main meeting to secure additional time on the property.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions or food allergies?

Yes. Share any dietary restrictions or allergies with your event contact during planning, and our kitchen will customize the menu. The earlier you communicate these details, the easier it is for us to prepare properly.

Is there a quiet space for phone calls or private conversations during the meeting? The Covered Porch works well for smaller breakout conversations if you’ve booked the Tasting Room for your main meeting. If you need a completely separate space for private calls, let your event contact know, and we’ll discuss options based on availability.

Our vineyard in Cape May offers plenty of space to celebrate, in-house catering, flexible event areas, and a dedicated team to make planning effortless. Whether you’re planning a 40th birthday or a 25th anniversary, we help you focus on the celebration while we take care of the details.

Hosting Your Milestone Party at a Cape May Vineyard

Vineyard venues work well for milestone parties because they offer something most traditional spaces can’t: a natural backdrop that photographs beautifully, enough room for guests to move around comfortably, and a relaxed atmosphere that doesn’t feel overly formal.

Successful Corporate Event

At Willow Creek Winery, you get all three, plus the simplicity of working with one team for your space, catering, and beverage service.

How the Spaces Work for Birthday and Anniversary Celebrations

We offer three different event spaces depending on your group size and the feel you want. The Tasting Room can hold 25 to 150 guests for a three-hour event, so if you’re bringing a big crowd or mixing generations, this is your spot. The post and beam ceiling and stone fireplace make it feel warm and cozy, giving your guests plenty of space to mix and mingle.

For more intimate gatherings, the Covered Porch accommodates 25 to 30 guests and offers an outdoor atmosphere while still being covered. From there, you can enjoy views of our stunning gardens and panoramic rows of grape vines.

The Vineyard Bar and Courtyard accommodates 25 to 100 guests and is ideal for a more relaxed, social atmosphere. It’s perfect for gatherings where you envision guests mingling with a glass of wine in hand rather than sitting through a formal, seated dinner.

What’s Included and What You Can Add

Every event at Willow Creek Winery includes floor-length ivory damask linens, 60-inch round tables that seat up to 10, and wooden cross-back chairs. All the essentials are included, from flatware to china, wine glasses, and water glasses so you won’t need to worry about rentals.

Host a Milestone Party in Cape May

You and your guests can also enjoy our vineyard grounds for photos before or after your event, with plenty of on-site parking.

To take your event to the next level, we offer upgrades such as gold Chiavari chairs, a cozy fire pit for cooler evenings, and a sangria bar to give your guests an even wider selection of wines. If three hours isn’t enough, your event time can be extended, and we can arrange additional bartenders or servers to match your guest count and preferred service style.

Food and Beverage Service for Milestone Parties

We handle all the catering in-house. Outside food and beverages are not permitted, but that makes planning easier by working with a single kitchen and team. For most milestone celebrations, we recommend a cocktail-style package featuring food displays and butlered hors d’oeuvres. We also offer a wide range of other options, from plated luncheons and BBQ buffets to light-bite displays, all thoughtfully tailored to suit the needs for your celebration.

A beverage package is required for all events. The beverage packages include our estate-grown wines and fountain sodas for the full duration of your event. Our wines are crafted on-site and we provide private wine tenders for your event, and if you’d like to extend beyond the standard three-hour timeframe, additional time can be arranged.

Conclusion

We love seeing milestone celebrations bring together friends and family who haven’t seen each other in years, or when a couple marks an anniversary by gathering everyone in one place. Our vineyard setting offers the space and privacy to celebrate in style.

We’ll walk you through availability, answer questions about the packages, and help you figure out which space makes the most sense for your group size and timeline.

FAQs

Can I bring my own cake or dessert?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring a cake for your celebration, provided it comes from a licensed baker. Cake cutting is included as part of your package. While outside food beyond the cake isn’t permitted, our in-house catering team can collaborate with you on dessert options if you’d like something prepared on-site.

How far in advance should I book for a milestone party?

We recommend booking at least three to six months in advance, especially for weekends between May and October. Weekdays and off-season dates offer more flexibility, but our most popular times tend to fill up quickly.

What happens if my guest count changes?

Your final headcount and dietary restrictions must be submitted 2 weeks before your event. If your numbers go up, we can usually accommodate that as long as the space you’ve booked has capacity. If your count drops, you’ll be billed for the final number you confirm, not the original estimate.

Is there a preferred vendor list for things like flowers or a DJ?

Yes, we provide an exclusive vendor list of highly recommended service providers once you book. If you already have vendors in mind, you are welcome to bring them in, as long as they provide a Certificate of Insurance for their services.

St. Patrick’s Weekend at Willow Creek

A Celebration of Irish Heritage | Friday, March 13 – Sunday, March 15

Each March, we gather at Willow Creek Winery not just to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day — but to honor and preserve Irish heritage through music, dance, food, and community. It’s a tradition we’re proud to continue here in Cape May, welcoming families and friends to experience the culture in a meaningful and festive way to benefit the NJ Farmers Cooperative.

Throughout the weekend, the vineyard comes alive with authentic Irish entertainment. The Emerald Isle Academy of Dance performs daily from 4–5 PM, bringing the energy and artistry of traditional Irish step dancing to the tasting room. The Irish Pipe Brigade will fill the air with the unmistakable sound of pipes and drums (Friday & Sunday 4:30–6:30 PM, Saturday 1–3 PM), a powerful reminder of the deep roots and history behind the celebration. Gordon Vincent will also be performing live, adding to the weekend’s lively atmosphere.

From 11:30 AM – 6 PM each day (rain or shine), the Open-Air Artisan Market returns, featuring talented local makers and craftspeople — a perfect complement to a weekend rooted in culture and community.

Of course, no St. Patrick’s celebration would be complete without something special from the kitchen and bar. Look for Irish-inspired food, festive Irish Willow Whips, and a proper pour of Guinness to toast the occasion.

We invite you to join us for a weekend that is joyful, spirited, and deeply rooted in tradition.

This celebration is made possible by funds from the Cape May County Board of County Commissioners via the Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Simple Tips for a Vineyard Wedding Ceremony at Willow Creek Winery in Cape May

Micro Wedding

When you envision your ceremony, do you imagine rows of vines and golden light shining through the leaves, surrounded by loved ones on a charming brick patio or a beautiful lawn surrounded by nature? We’ve hosted hundreds of vineyard ceremonies here at Willow Creek Winery, and we’ve seen firsthand what makes outdoor vows feel effortless and meaningful. Here are the details that truly make a difference on your day.

A vineyard ceremony at Willow Creek Winery offers a picturesque and seamless experience with stunning views, customizable options, and thoughtful planning. Choose between the Winemaker’s Patio or Estate Lawn based on your guest count, timing, and light preferences. With smooth transitions to cocktail hour, a dedicated coordinator, and personalized touches, your ceremony will reflect your style while ensuring a stress-free celebration.

Planning Your Ceremony in a Cape May Vineyard Vineyard

ceremonies may look effortless, but a few decisions early on can make the day flow beautifully. You’ll want to consider your guest count, the season, and how everyone will transition from one moment to the next. At Willow Creek Winery, we have experience and understand both what makes ceremonies shine and what couples tend to worry about most. So let’s walk through choices that help shape a seamless and memorable ceremony.

Bridal Shower

Choose Your Ceremony Spot Based on Your Guest Count

We offer two beautiful outdoor ceremony locations, each with its own distinct feel. The Winemaker’s Patio is a charming brick setting that comfortably accommodates your guests and flows seamlessly into cocktail hour, so everyone can move easily from ceremony to celebration. The Estate Lawn, located at the front of our 50-acre vineyard, offers sweeping panoramic views of the vines and is ideal for couples who prefer a separate ceremony setting. If your guest list is 75 or more, we recommend seeing both locations so you can experience the flow of each space firsthand.

Think About Timing and Light

Golden hour truly shines at Willow Creek Winery, as the sun filters through the vineyard and illuminates the ceremony space in warm, romantic lighting, particularly in late spring and early fall. To capture this glow, we recommend scheduling your ceremony for late afternoon or early evening, depending on your date.

Midday ceremonies can be a great option as well, especially if you’re hoping for more lighting or a day-time celebration. Just keep in mind that the sun can be strong in the summer, so we always encourage couples to consider guest comfort. Shade is limited at both locations, but the Winemaker’s Patio offers beautiful covered space beneath its statement porch for guests that need it. You may also wish to consider parasols or other unique touches to enhance your guests’ comfort and elevate the ambiance of your ceremony.

Keep Your Ceremony Setup Straightforward

We provide classic white padded chairs for your guests. If you’d like to add florals, or a ceremony arch, your florist is welcome to set up earlier in the day. An arbor is also available for rental and can be styled to complement your ceremony décor. We also have our Rosé Room. It is the private bridal dressing suite that is available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on wedding days, giving you and your wedding party a comfortable space to relax and prepare while details come together.

Sound is an important detail that can sometimes be overlooked. Since both locations are open, it’s helpful to coordinate with your DJ or musicians in advance to ensure optimal speaker placement for clear, comfortable audio throughout your ceremony. Both ceremony locations offer ample electrical access for lighting, sound, and any additional enhancements you may wish to include.

Transition Smoothly to Cocktail Hour

After your ceremony, guests will transition to The Vineyard Bar Patio to enjoy hors d’oeuvres and wine service (wine provided by the winery; outside alcohol vendors permitted). Your guests can sip our wines, enjoy passed appetizers, and take in the vineyard views while watching the sun set over the tree line.

If you choose the Estate Lawn for your ceremony, we’ll help coordinate timing so your guests can be transported to the Vineyard Bar Patio while you take advantage of the grounds for photos. The transition flows seamlessly, and your coordinator will be there every step of the way to keep things running smoothly.

Conclusion

Your ceremony should feel like a true reflection of you. If you’re drawn to rolling vines, open skies, and a team that handles every detail, we’d love to connect. We’ll walk you through the ceremony logistics, answer your questions, and help you plan a day that flows beautifully from your vows all the way to the dance floor.

FAQs

Can we have our ceremony on the Estate Lawn if we’re having a smaller wedding?

Yes. The Estate Lawn works for any guest count, though couples with fewer than 75 guests often prefer the Winemaker’s Patio because it feels more intimate. We’ll review both locations during your tour so you can decide which setting fits your vision.

What happens if it rains on our ceremony day?

If rain is in the forecast on your ceremony day, we recommend either renting a tent or moving the ceremony indoors. Your event coordinator will stay in close communication with you as your date approaches, and will help you decide which option will work best for your special day.

Do you allow outside vendors for ceremony music or officiant services?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own officiant or musicians. We provide a list of trusted vendors, but the choice is yours! Your event coordinator will communicate with your vendors and help ensure everything flows smoothly.

Is there a fee for having our ceremony on site?

Yes, there is a ceremony fee for using the Winemaker’s Patio or Estate Lawn. The fee varies by day and season. Your coordinator will go over all costs during your consultation so you can budget accurately.

How to Plan an Indoor Wedding at Willow Creek Winery in Cape May

Elopement Destination

When you’re planning an indoor wedding at a winery, you want a space that feels alive with natural charm but keeps the weather out of the equation. We built Willow Creek Winery & Farm Tasting Room with exactly that in mind. The post-and-beam ceiling and sweeping stone fireplace bring vineyard character inside, and the room seats up to 300 guests without losing its warmth.

Plan an indoor wedding by using the Tasting Room for your ceremony and reception, then organizing guest flow from covered cocktail spaces into dinner and dancing. Confirm what is included like tables, linens, staffing, and catering, and choose add-ons if needed. Reserve on-site cottages early and build photo time into the schedule.

Planning an indoor celebration here means you can lock in your timeline without tracking hourly weather forecasts or building backup plans around wind and rain. Your ceremony can flow into cocktails and dinner without your coordinator hovering over a radar app, and your guests can focus on the toast instead of whether they need an umbrella. The space does the work for you.

Indoor Space That Works for Real Celebrations

Our Tasting Room is where most couples host their seated dinner or cocktail reception. The space holds up to 300 for full wedding receptions with a dance floor. You’ll find 60-inch round tables that seat up to ten, wooden cross-back chairs, and floor-length ivory damask linens already included. The stone fireplace anchors one end of the room, and the post-and-beam ceiling keeps the vibe cozy even when the guest list grows. If you’re working with a planner or florist, they’ll appreciate the neutral palette and the natural texture the space already offers.

Plan an Indoor Wedding in willow creek winery Testing Room

We keep planning simple with a single main contact through our events department. Your venue coordinator walks you through table layouts, timing, and vendor coordination so you’re not juggling emails with five different people. You’ll also receive an exclusive list of highly recommended service providers who know the property and how to make the most of the indoor spaces.

Ceremony Options That Keep You Covered

Some couples choose to say their vows outside on the Winemaker’s Patio or the Estate Lawn, then move indoors for cocktails and dinner. Others hold the entire event inside the Tasting Room. Both work well. If the weather is unpredictable or you simply prefer the intimacy of an indoor ceremony, the Tasting Room can be set for chairs facing the fireplace or the French doors. The room transitions quickly, so your ceremony setup flows into cocktail hour without a long wait for your guests.

We also offer a tent option if you want an outdoor ceremony with a weather backup. You’re not locked into one choice months in advance.

How Guests Move Through Your Event

For a traditional indoor wedding, the flow usually starts with cocktails on the Vineyard Bar Patio, where guests sip wine under cover and enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres. Then everyone moves into the Tasting Room for dinner. You’ll have access to butler service for appetizers, a salad course, your choice of two entrées plus a vegan option, and a coffee and tea station. Cake cutting is included in the package.

If you’re hosting a cocktail-style reception, the Tasting Room still anchors the event. You’ll have two displayed hors d’oeuvres, six butler-served items, a salad display, and three hours of service. This setup works well for 25 to 100 guests who want to mingle rather than sit for a plated meal.

What Comes Standard and What You Can Add

Every wedding at Willow Creek includes your venue coordinator, the linens, tables, chairs, flatware, china, and wine and water glasses. You’ll also have access to the grounds for photos before or after the ceremony, even if you’re hosting the reception indoors. On-site parking is included, and the venue is wheelchair accessible.

If you want to extend your event beyond five hours, add a fire pit for cocktail hour, or include a sangria bar; these are available as enhancements. Gold Chiavari chairs, additional bartenders, a champagne toast setup, and late-night snack stations are also on the list. You can review the full menu of add-ons with your coordinator once your date is secured.

Service and Staffing You Can Count On

We provide trained bartenders for every event. Our bar serves wine only, but you’re welcome to bring in beer and liquor from designated local distributors. After the event, we secure any remaining alcohol for the next day’s pickup. A minimum wine purchase applies to all weddings, and we recommend planning for at least one case per every 40 guests and one favor bottle per every two guests age 21 and over. That way, everyone has a chance to enjoy what we grow and produce here.

Successful Corporate Event

If you need help finding vendors for decorations or entertainment, our events team can point you in the right direction. We’ve worked with florists, DJs, and photographers who understand the layout of the Tasting Room and know how to use the natural light and architectural details to your advantage.

Lodging and Nearby Stays

We have six on-site rental cottages available year-round. Each cottage includes a kitchen, seating, and proximity to the winery, beaches, and downtown Cape May. These book up quickly during summer, fall harvest, and spring bloom, so reserve early if you want to offer them to your wedding party or family.

Our sister property, The Southern Mansion, is a boutique hotel in Cape May’s historic district with 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens. It’s a five-minute walk to beaches, shops, and restaurants, and it includes newly renovated private bathrooms with hand-painted tile showers, a full gourmet breakfast, and complimentary on-site parking.

Photo Opportunities Around the Property

Even if you’re hosting your reception indoors, you’ll have access to the vineyard vistas, spectacular gardens, and the life-sized Alice in Wonderland fantasy chessboard for photos. The scenic vineyard road and rolling vines create a strong backdrop for portraits, and the natural light in late afternoon works well for both couples and group shots. Your photographer will appreciate the variety, and your guests can explore the grounds during cocktail hour if the weather cooperates.

We’re minutes from downtown Cape May and the beach, so if you want to plan a portrait session at a nearby landmark, that’s easy to coordinate. Your events team can help you map out a timeline that includes travel time and makes the most of the indoor and outdoor spaces on our property.

Conclusion

We’ve hosted weddings with 25 guests gathered around the fireplace and receptions with 300 people dancing under the post-and-beam ceiling. The Tasting Room adapts, and our team makes sure the details work for your group size and your vision. If you’re ready to see the space in person and talk through your timeline, let’s get you on the calendar.

Book a personalized tour and consultation by calling 609.770.8782 or emailing info@willowcreekwinerycapemay.com. We’ll walk you through the Tasting Room, show you the ceremony options, and answer your questions about service, timing, and what’s included with your booking.
